In what house does your moon live, and how does this affect your moon?
Mine is in the 10th house. I think thats the MC um ...the lifepath, the career, what you are supposed to be doing, and a lot of things I have been reading say your public side?? not sure about it really tho.
SO -- I have been thinking a lot lately about how this might affect my next career or life choice. Things that come to mind are travel, languages, teaching, consulting, and (strangely) also massage.
what about you?
In which house does your moon reside and how does this affect your moon?

Re: What House?
Thu, January 18, 2007 - 3:27 PMHi MsLady,
Since the moon relates to how we FEEL, I would say that you feel your best in those occupations that relate to the Archer's persona. All the occupations you listed sound very Sag-like.
My Moon is in the 9th House, also conjunct my MC. I feel my best when I am learning about other cultures. I love to travel the world, both virtually and physically. I also have a propensity towards studying philosophy. My moon plays a key role in my well-being. I've learned that if I'm not studying or seeing something new, I start to feel emotionally imbalanced. As far as career, I would love to devote myself to humanitarian causes and/or be a professor. And I just don't "feel" right if I'm not doing something meaningful.
Do you feel the same way about your vocation? If you are not doing something that you "feel" is right, does it play havoc on your emotions?

Re: What House?
Thu, January 18, 2007 - 5:50 PMi think its more that i need to be respected in my work. MC is in scorpio.
If i feel that my needs and wishes (and production / contribution) levels are not being acknowledged or respected, it become angry and apathetic.
a boss who shows me 100% mutual respect is hard to find, but will (and does) have my undying loyalty.

Re: What House?
Wed, March 21, 2007 - 6:53 PMMy moon is in the 10th House, I have no idea what that means or to what degree my Moon sign is affected by it. If anyone could elaborate, I'd really appreciate it.

Re: What House?
Thu, March 22, 2007 - 7:40 AMLiz, the moon represents so many different things. One of them is where you FEEL your best. Since the 10th house has to do with your career and public recognition, you may feel your best in public situations. You may have a connection to the public.
Here is an excerpt from Astroscoped.com www.astroscoped.com/astrolog...ses.shtml
"MOON IN 10th HOUSE - With the Moon in the 10th house, you have a need for some kind of tangible or recognisable personal achievement in order to feel happy with yourself. You may sacrifice your domestic or emotional life to the pursuit of your personal ambitions. Your early upbringing may have given you a deep sense of the need for a career or public position, perhaps your mother was a career woman, or saw you as the one to live out her own unrealised ambitions. Either way, you will feel most "at home" when working toward your ambitions and may eventually reach a position of prominence and authority. Even if you achieve this, you will not like to present a harsh public face, but will like to be seen as a caring and sympathetic person. You will fare well in any profession that allows you to express your nurturing and protective qualities. "
Moon in Sagittarius usually indicates a need for independence, freedom, and the love of change. You could also apply that to the 10th house description mentioned above.
Also, there is a thread from another tribe, posted by MS Lady...albeit a little short, it may help a little.

Hope this helps some. Does it sound like it relates to you? -

...::mouth gapped:: that's kinda scary, yeah, I'm not one for staying home and doing the house wife thing. I'm not lazy, I do it anyway, but I'd rather be out getting my education and acheiving my high goals....Thank you.

Re: What House?
Thu, April 5, 2007 - 4:45 PMMy moon is in the 11th house. Being Sun in Cancer, I'm very grateful to have my ruling planet in such a freedom-loving sign as Sagittarius and freedom-loving house as the 11th. I struggle with the typical Cancerian insecurities so the Sag and the 11th help me see there's more going on outside my own sphere of family, familiar friends, familiar job, and neurotic worries. Yes, if there's a reason to worry, I'll find it, especially with Saturn in Capricorn and Capricorn Rising. If it weren't for my Sagittarius and 11th House influence, I would probably be a total pessimist. Instead, I'm only a partial pessimist. Realist. Cynic. LOL... whatever.
Oh, I love Science Fiction and travel -- what about you?

Re: What House?
Fri, April 6, 2007 - 10:31 AMmoon in the 4th house with scorpio on the cusp, and it is conjunct neptune. For me this means that when I need emotional security I escape reality by retreating to the safety of my sanctuary and filling my brain with philosophy's to ponder instead of my own problems lol or at least that's what usually happens -

Re: What House?
Sun, April 8, 2007 - 2:25 PMMine is in the 1st house cusps of Scorpio...but I don't really know how it affects me..I just know I have a great calming effect on people that are hysterical or overly dramatic about situations...I also am very susceptible to the moods of those around me..I can tell easily what moon a person is in just by entering the room -

Re: What House?
Sat, April 28, 2007 - 10:15 AMmoon 10th house, conjunct mc, pluto trine m & mc, sun in the first.
mars in 12th: pieces
I hate being in the public eye, hate being physically noticed, probley because it's very hard for me to avoid being noticed. People sense me when I walk into a room and generally turn to look at me. I like behind the scenes stuff- I feel most comfortable with that. What I like to be noticed about myself are things that are much more personal and subtle. Not very many people notice them.
I do like anything I create to be noticed. I LOVE traveling and cultures and memes and when I painted that had an influence on my paintings.
I do have a good eye and ear for creative works and how an audience would see them. Videographers used to use me for critiques on how their work would effect an audience.

i love change .. and have always loved it .. i also love the stability of a house and home.. but i love improving on my house.. and i love watching this grow... this is why i love gardening.. i love watching the helter skelter beauty of nature as it unfurls life in its finest of symphonies.. and i love my life and my home to be like that too .. everything is a great shrine to all that is .. there is always beauty in the reflection of the true nature of the universe .. the ultimate paradox. where the only constant is change,

Re: What House?
Thu, July 19, 2007 - 8:25 AMMine is at the end of house 1, which counts as house 2 (supposedly?), according to astrodienst, anyway.
If it's in the first house, I think it should count as house 1, right? If anyone has an opinion on this, I'd love to hear it, because this has never made sense to me.
Because dreamy Neptune is in my first house, it's hard to tell if I have moon in 1st house tendencies - they would overlap, I think. -

Re: What House?

Yeah... I think usually 1st house too. Sometimes maybe it'll kick in with 2nd house stuff. Mine seems to me to act like it's in the house before, but the house before symbolizes what sag is...

Mon, December 17, 2007 - 10:06 PMTrudy,
You have to read up on some of this stuff on your own. Then you'll know what questions to ask. & if you ask one question at a time you'll get more answers.
Try entering "cafe astrology" in google or another search engine. At that web site you can follow the links and it will answer a lot of the questions you've been asking- it's a great web site!

Re: What House?
Fri, February 8, 2008 - 4:48 PMMine is in the 9th, so it's difficult for me to say much because a 9th Sign Moon simply loves playing in the 9th Sign house. Difficult to separate the two, I think the house just reinforces all my love of learning, love of philosophies, love of abstract concepts, love of foreign lands and ideas beyond the ordinary, and love of reading.
(My Jupiter in Aries trines my Moon, so adds yet another Jupiterian influence.)

Re: What House?
Sat, February 9, 2008 - 7:26 PMI can relate to that, Zane. My moon's in the 11th in Sag, with a trine to Mercury. If only I didn't need $$$, I'd go back to being a career student. That was the best job I ever had. -

Re: What House?
Sat, February 9, 2008 - 7:39 PMOops, I forgot this was the Moon in Sagittarius tribe... heh heh. I thought it was the "Moon in What House?" tribe. Well, 3 minutes ago I knew it but distraction does come easy to a Moon-Mercury trine, especially when Mercury is square Neptune. In any case, I think the 9th house and 11th house have a lot in common, with that "forward thinking" kind of bent. And I had more to say on that except -- Jet Li is on tv and I just have to watch his moves. Gotta go. -

Re: What House?
Fri, February 15, 2008 - 2:09 PMMoon in Sag in H1 leaves me way 2 sensitive to other people...me being a scorpio asc..i feel it leaves me vulnerable to other people..and I hate that side of me..I can feel easily the feelings of others and a lot of times it makes me very uncomfortable. Alot of times I go off how I feel than what the situation really is..I smile and laugh alot..and the next I can show tears so easily...I hate feeling so vulnerable to others...
